It looks like Logan Paul won’t get his wish of facing former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell in a boxing match.
Paul tweeted that he received a call from WWE saying that he’s not allowed to fight Bell due to his contract with the company.
In a video of a recent live stream, Paul received a call from someone named “Chris” informing him of WWE’s decision not to let him fight Bell. He begged for the chance to participate in the boxing match, claiming that he would make $2 million for the fight and would give a portion of his winnings to WWE.
Despite his pleas, Paul was informed that the company’s decision was final, and he ended the call by saying, “My loyalty’s with the WWE. I’m a good independent contractor, brother, whatever you guys need. And if you need me to shut it down, I’ll do it.”
Bell reacted to Paul’s video by accusing him of arranging a fake phone call because he’s “scared” to face him.
Paul and Bell had a war of words on social media this week and publicly negotiated a deal for a fight this month. Paul announced the terms for their match, and Bell responded by telling him to “send the contract.”
The back-and-forth between Paul and Bell was instigated by the YouTuber’s declaration on an episode of his Impaulsive podcast that he would pay $1 million to any NFL player who could beat him in a fight.
Bell has boxed in three professional fights, owning a 2-1 record. He most recently won his second exhibition fight in November.
Paul’s most recent foray into boxing saw him defeat Dillon Danis in 2023. He previously faced Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an exhibition fight in 2021 that didn’t have a winner announced.
It sounds like Paul will have to wait a while longer if he wants to trade the wrestling ring for the boxing ring.
