Police are investigating after homes and vehicles were hit by gunfire during an early morning shooting in Brampton.

The shots rang out in the area of Spadina Road and Royal Orchard Drive in Brampton before 2:45 a.m., Peel Regional Police say.

No physician injuries were reported, but police say two residences and vehicles were hit by bullets.

Police say the suspects fled the scene in a lighter-coloured four-door sedan. No suspect descriptions have been released.
