There’s no doubt that Edmonton’s restaurant scene is hot right now, but foodies will have to wait a little longer for one massive newcomer.
Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, set to be the first in Canada, will now open at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Summer 2026, a slight pushback from its initial goal of an early 2026 opening announced last June.
Inspired by the hit TV series of the same name, in which chefs were pitted against each other as red and blue teams for dinner services and eliminations, the Hell’s Kitchen restaurants provide a unique dining experience that transports guests directly to the set.
While the menu for River Cree hasn’t been confirmed yet, the restaurant is known for dishes such as Beef Wellington, pan-seared scallops, lobster risotto, and sticky toffee pudding, to name a few.
According to the River Cree website, guests can expect an “immersive dining experience featuring Ramsay’s iconic dishes, and a vibrant atmosphere like no other.”
“I’m delighted to announce that my new Hell’s Kitchen will be opening at the River Cree Resort,” Ramsay said in the June 2025 announcement.
“We always receive such a warm welcome in Canada, and I’m excited to see the new restaurant come to life over the next few months.”
Currently, there are seven Hell’s Kitchen restaurants in the U.S., located in cities such as Las Vegas, Miami, and Washington, D.C.
