A crash involving a dump truck has led to impaired charges for a Brampton driver.

Emergency crews were called to the collision at Bloomington Road East and Ninth Line in Whitchurch-Stouffville around 10:45 a.m. on Monday, March 9, York Regional Police said.

A dump truck had rear-ended a vehicle at the intersection, police said.

Police said the driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Breath samples submitted by the driver of the dump truck were found to be more than three times the legal limit, police said.

A 34-year-old man from Brampton was charged with impaired operation of a vehicle, alcohol, and operation of a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.

Police did not name the driver.
