Police say two 16-year-old girls suffered serious injuries after being struck by an SUV in north Edmonton on Tuesday afternoon.
At roughly 12 p.m., police said the two teens were crossing an intersection on 122 Avenue and 96 Street when they were struck by a red Toyota 4-Runner.
Police said the driver of the SUV, a 62-year-old man, remained on scene. The two girls were treated and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the Major Collision Investigations Section has taken over the investigation, and no word if charges will be laid.e
