A three-vehicle crash at Dixie Road and Dundas Street East in Mississauga has sent one man to hospital with serious injuries and closed down part of the busy intersection to traffic early Wednesday afternoon.
Peel Regional Police said one of the drivers involved in the multi-vehicle collision, a 30-year-old man, was taken to a local trauma centre in serious condition.
Police added the other two drivers involved in the crash, which occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m., remained on the scene.
Parts of eastbound Dundas Street and southbound Dixie Road near the busy intersection have been closed to traffic while police investigate. However, the right-turn lane at that location remains open.
Police advise motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
