Touring around the province since November’s big win, the Grey Cup finally made its way out to West Central Saskatchewan this week.
The Cup has been up in North Battleford on an official community tour visit, joining school stops in Kenaston and Outlook last month for local appearances, but Wednesday’s appearance at the Kindersley Co-op food store marked the first official visit to the region.

While unfortunately no players were on hand to visit with fans for the allotted hour, the Grey Cup was set up in a way to give fans a chance to see historic trophy up close and personal.

For anyone who missed the opportunity in Kindersley, the Grey Cup will be in Rosetown on Thursday afternoon from 12:00-1:30 PM at the Rosetown AGT Centre.
With only five Grey Cup wins in Roughriders’ team history — spread far apart from ’66-’89-’07-’13-’25 — it’s a spectacle whenever the trophy shows up in Saskatchewan. West Central Saskatchewan was patiently waiting for their turn, now being rewarded just a few months out from another CFL season.
