A BC Ferries sailing between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen was delayed on Thursday afternoon due to a “police incident.”
Just after 3:15 p.m., the company said its 3 p.m. sailing departing from Swartz Bay was holding in dock because of a police incident.
Then, just after 3:30 p.m., BC Ferries said the police incident had been “resolved.”
The company says the sailing departed 23 minutes behind schedule.
“If you have a reservation on an upcoming sailing today, please arrive during the check-in window noted in your booking confirmation email to maintain your reserved status,” said the company in its 3:30 p.m. update.
“This ensures we can stage your vehicle at the terminal ahead of standby customers and those reserved on later sailings.”

The delay comes one day after BC Ferries cancelled several sailings along the Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen route due to a windstorm.
