The Argonne Leadership Computing Facility will hold a two-part HPC workshop starting with a virtual event to be held Tuesday-Thursday, Sept. 23-25, followed by hands-on, in-person workshop Wednesday-Friday, Oct. 7-9 at Argonne National Laboratory.

Registration information and more details can be found here.

This event is designed to advance ALCF users’ skills in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. The virtual week (Sept 23-25) covers the fundamentals of building, compiling, and running applications on ALCF systems, and will include overviews for getting started on the Aurora and Polaris supercomputers. This virtual segment is recommended for new users.

The in-person week at Argonne (October 7-9) offers in-depth sessions and dedicated hands-on time with ALCF staff and industry experts.

Workshop sessions will focus on four key themes:

ALCF Resources (Aurora and Polaris)

AI and Machine Learning

Data Management

Performance Tools and Debuggers

Participants will gain practical experience focusing on porting applications to heterogeneous architectures, optimizing code performance, and developing AI/ML workflows. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour Argonne’s facilities, including the Aurora supercomputer.
