The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service says a stolen medical response bag containing potentially dangerous medications has been recovered.

The bag was stolen from an emergency scene on Thursday night in the 300 block of Stanley Street, prompting WFPS to make a public plea for its return.

Emergency officials say that none of the medications contained narcotics, but taking them without medical supervision could have been harmful or fatal. Most are intended for patient resuscitation or symptom relief and are meant for intravenous use, not oral consumption.

The WFPS didn’t say where the bag was located, but it was found sometime on Friday. An internal investigation is also underway.
