Edmonton police say a woman has died following an early morning collision on Anthony Henday Drive just west of Terwillegar Drive.
EPS responded to reports of a collision around 2:35 a.m. on Mar. 14.
It is believed that a Nissan Kicks, which was being driven by a 27-year-old woman, was heading west in an eastbound lane of Anthony Henday Drive when it collided head-on with a Hyundai Elantra that was being driven by a 37-year-old man.
EPS says the woman was declared dead at the scene, and the man was taken to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries that appear to be non-life threatening at this time.
An investigation into the collision is underway, and if anyone has any information, they are asked to contact police at 780-423-4567.
