One person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on Highway 1 through Langley, Mounties tell 1130 NewsRadio.
The highway has been closed to all westbound traffic at 248th Street, police say.
Sgt. Zynal Sharoom says crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash in the area shortly before 6 p.m.
“The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been called to the scene to assist with this investigation,” he said.
“The closure of this portion of Highway 1 may last several hours, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.”
Sharoom says traffic is being redirected to the 264 Street exit.
One eastbound lane is getting through and there is no estimated time of full reopening.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage is asked to call the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2025-25738.
