Continuing on their excursion into Africa, the PFL brings another top-level mixed martial card to the sprawling megacity of Johannesburg in PFL Africa 2. Taking top billing for the event, Nigerian knockout artist Patrick Ocheme locks horns with well-traveled Guinea competitor Mohamed Camara. In the second to last contest of the night, Shido Boris Esperanca puts his extensive win streak on the line opposite veteran fighter Ibrahima Mané.

Making his professional debut back in 2021, Ocheme has proven to be a proven finisher, racking four victories by strikes across his six career wins. Entering his most high-profile bout to date, “Star Boi” has the chance to enter into mainstream notoriety should he come out on top in spectacular fashion in PFL Africa 2’s main event.

Although he was born in Africa, Camara’s journey as a fighter has largely been spent in his adoptive home of Brazil, where he has competed almost exclusively. Coming off of one defeat and a draw in his last two bouts, “Lamo” is more than eager to reenter the win column after nearly three years.

PFL Africa 2 Co-Main Event

Undefeated across his past three scraps, Boris Esperanca kicked off his promotional debut in 2024 with a resounding first round stoppage over Tyler Hill. Returning for his sophomore outing to the smart cage, “Machine” is looking to make it four in a row as he continues his climb up the welterweight rankings in the PFL Africa 2 co-main event.

Prior to his inclusion at PFL Europe 3, Mané had embarked on a splendid six-fight winning streak, but his lengthy stay in the winner’s circle was emphatically ended after a disappointing round one knockout at the event. Seeking to rebound after his lackluster previous outing, “Freezer” has the opportunity to make a statement in the largest mixed martial show Johannesburg has ever seen.
