1. Experienced Receiving Threat
A veteran tight end, Fant has played in seven NFL seasons with the Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks and Cincinnati Bengals after being drafted in the first round (20th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played in 110 career games with 90 starts, recording 334 receptions for 3,593 yards and 18 touchdowns. He has racked up 500 or more yards in four different seasons and has added 1,865 yards after the catch to his reception totals.
2. Second Time is the Charm
The Saints previously hosted Fant for a visit in training camp in July 2025 after his departure from the Seahawks. While Fant would ultimately sign with the Bengals, it all comes full circle for the Saints and Fant as the two agreed to terms on a contract eight months later.
3. NFL Combine Warrior
Fant turned heads at the 2019 NFL Combine. His 4.50 40-yard dash time at 6’4, 249 lbs. paced the tight end field that year. He also recorded the best vertical jump (39.5 inches), broad jump (10 feet, 7 inches), 3-cone drill time (6.81 seconds) and 60-yard shuttle time (11.49) for his position. Fant was the second tight end drafted in 2019 behind only former college teammate T.J. Hockenson.
