WILMINGTON, N.C. – Stony Brook tennis fought hard, but came up just short on Sunday morning, falling to UNCW 4-3.

After being swept by the Seahawks in doubles, the Seawolves battled back in singles play, winning three of six matches, with Elena Lobo-Corral, Sanjana Devineni, and Paisha Douglas all claiming individual victories.

Stony Brook battled with UNCW in the other three matches, but fell just short of clinching one more to capture the fourth and deciding match point, as the Seahawks picked up three match wins, allowing them to clinch the decisive match point.
