Selena Gomez is promoting Rare Beauty’s first-ever fragrance in her bathrobe, her 8-carat engagement ring, and pretty much nothing else. The “Calm Down” took to Instagram to announce the official launch of Rare Eau de Parfum and Fragrance Layering Balms on Thursday, August 7 with the help of a rather sultry photoshoot.
“So much love and intention went into the creation of these,” she wrote in her caption. “I couldn’t be more excited for you to finally experience them.”

Gomez has been teasing the launch of both products since July 29. The first hint came with a montage of film clips posted to Instagram. The beauty mogul shared the video along with the scent’s notes.
“It’s warm and decadent with a touch of spice with notes of creamy caramel and pistachio, gives way to an unexpected duality of rich vanilla and spicy ginger, then dries down to an earthy sandalwood,” she wrote.
She also told fans that the fragrance was crafted to “evolve with the moment.”

Gomez also sat down for an interview with WWD to promote the new Rare Beauty products. She told the publication that she wore the test scent for “some of [her] best memories,” including her Taco Bell-themed engagement to Benny Blanco.
“It was just something that made me feel like a piece of me,” she continued. “And I wanted everyone to enjoy it. I was hoping that it would embody the place of life that I’m in.”
