Let’s hope for clear skies later this week. As part of his latest movie release, Ryan Gosling announced that Toronto will be getting a light show to celebrate “Project Hail Mary.”

“I’m Ryan Gosling from ‘Project Hail Mary’ here with some exciting news,” the Canadian actor says on a social media post. “Rocky, my co-star, is going on his own tour, and on Tuesday, March 17, Rocky will be here on Earth around 8:30 local time in Taipei, Berlin and Toronto. Rocky is going to be putting on a light show in the sky so if you’re in one of those cities, grab your friends, check it out.”

Rocky is launching the last show in Toronto Thursday between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

“You can catch Rocky’s Toronto show at East Toronto Harbour,” states the team.

It will be best viewed on the east side of the downtown waterfront, east of Yonge St, the team tells Toronto.com.

“Project Hail Mary” is about science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling) who “wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there.”

As he gets his memory back, he starts to uncover his mission and has to use his scientific knowledge to save Earth from extinction. Rocky is a spider-like alien engineer who speaks in musical chords and teams up with the hero to save both their worlds.

While Gosling isn’t expected to be at the Toronto event, you can catch him on the big screen the day after the light show. The movie will be in theatres starting Friday.

“Get ready Earth. Rocky is going on a world tour in Taipei, Berlin, NYC and Toronto. Which city will you see him in?” states the movie’s social account.
