It’s not exactly the sexiest position, but a lot of teams need offensive line help.

Ooh.

When I go through my tackles here, there are a lot of right tackles.

Yep, head right tackle.

You mentioned CeCe before.

He is a right tackle who maybe some people think he’s a guard.

He’s not gonna play left tackle, I’d have to assume.

If you’re a team that needs a left tackle, would you be concerned?

Plenty of guys have moved, Tristan Wirfs, notably.

Would you be concerned that this seemingly is a right tackle draft?

concerned, no, because you gotta have a plan for it, and this is where your area scouts and your forecasting of what’s coming out in the draft is important and understanding that.

I mean, you have, Monroe Freeling, he’s played left tackle- Mm-hmm he’s a good player.

You got Caleb- One-year guy, yeah Caleb Lohmueller who’s another good tackle.

I mean, Spencer Fano, we’re talking about him being a top five, top 10 pick- As a right tackle as a right tackle.

But if you remember, he started his career at Utah at left tackle- Mm-hmm and then they moved him over to the right so Caleb could play left.

Right.

So to me, that speaks volumes of his ability, to play left tackle.

And then there’ll be other guys that’ll, that’ll come out in this process that’ll be good, at left tackle.

But I wanna go back to CeCe Maroa that you talked about.

I think I was one of those guys that immediately put him at guard and said, “He’s the number one guard.”

He was my number one guard.

But then as I watched tape throughout the playoffs and watched him r- play against these rushers, the guys that we’re talking about, I saw him block those guys.

And block them at a very high rate.

And so I kicked him back to tackle, but then for me, I was like, it makes his, his, his overall stock is up for me because I’m feeling like now if you have CeCe Maroa on your team, now he gives you the ability to put your best five on the field, whether he’s your right tackle or he’s your guard.

Because I still think he can be a starting guard in the league, and I think he can be a starting right tackle.

So that versatility for me only pushes him, up the board more
