Police have charged two suspects after recovering a stolen transport truck with no plates north of Brampton.
The incident happened on Saturday around 3 a.m. while officers from the Caledon detachment were on patrol in the area of Nixon Road and McEwan Drive West, the OPP says.
That’s when police say they spotted a commercial motor vehicle driving without a rear licence plate.
Officers witnessed the vehicle stop in a nearby parking lot before two individuals exited the vehicle and fled the area of foot, police say.
Officers located two suspects, and say the vehicle was reported stolen just hours earlier.
The OPP says Navraj Dhillon, 28, of Caledon, and Mandeep Singh, 25, of Brampton, were both charged with obstruct peace officer, possession of break-in instruments, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer to their charges.
