AUSTIN, TEXAS – The Troy women’s golf team wrapped play Tuesday at the Betsy Rawls Invitational, as the Trojans finished in 15th place in the 16-team field that featured seven teams ranked inside the top 50 nationally.
Constanza Quiroga carded six birdies over her final 36 holes to lead the Trojans for the fourth time in eight events as a true freshman. She carded a 4-over 76 on Tuesday and finished the week in a tie for 30th place.
No. 7 Texas won the team title by 21 shots over No. 9 Arkansas, while No. 31 Oklahoma, No. 33 LSU and No. 10 Pepperdine rounded out the top five.
Laura Fangmeyer climbed five spots into a tie for 67th place after shooting 7-over on the day with a birdie on the par-5 fifth, while Manya Saini tied for 73rd and Victoria Stutts tied for 76th after rounds of 82 and 81, respectively. Katelynn Altese rounded out the scoring for the Trojans in 84th place after a final round 83.
Troy travels to Tallahassee, Fla., and the Seminole Legacy Golf Course on Friday thru Sunday for the Seminole Match Up.
