“But I would be so scared of getting them because I just feel like…” Cunningham started, before her co-host, West Wilson, interjected with the clear worry. “Of taking an elbow.” Cunningham responded without pause. “Yes, oh my gosh. Straight to the ER.”

Wilson then offered the statement that captured the danger in straightforward terms: “Deflated breast implants, out indefinitely.” Cunningham chuckled, but didn’t dispute it. “Yeah, that’d be my luck. That’d literally be my luck, but whatever.”

Since becoming part of the Fever and competing alongside Caitlin Clark, Cunningham has earned a reputation as one of the league’s most physical guards, someone prepared to take contact, engage in confrontations, and defend teammates during intense situations.

Chosen 13th overall by the Phoenix Mercury in the 2019 WNBA Draft, Cunningham spent multiple seasons honing her skills at the professional level before joining Indiana in 2025 through a multi-team trade.

With the Fever, her responsibilities expanded beyond simply scoring or facilitating. She transformed into an enforcer.

That persona was solidified in a viral incident when she was thrown out after confronting Jacy Sheldon in defense of Caitlin Clark, strengthening her reputation as a player prepared to protect teammates regardless of the repercussions.
