After the weather disrupted the first couple of days of the tournament, Day 3 at the ATP Miami Masters 1000 will be packed full of action, in an attempt to get the schedule back on track. There are many exciting matchups in prospect, with several seeded players facing very dangerous unseeded opponents who could easily knock them out.

ATP Miami Day 3 Predictions
Alexander Bublik vs Matteo Berrettini

Head-to-head: Berrettini 1-0 Bublik

Bublik might be the better player of the two right now, but Berrettini has been fighting hard to get back to his best level and shown some signs of improvement lately. Last year, Miami was arguably his best tournament, with a run to the quarterfinals where he came very close to beating Taylor Fritz. Given Bublik’s volatility he might well get some much needed momentum with a win here.
Prediction: Berrettini in 3

Mariano Navone vs Valentin Vacherot

Head-to-head: first meeting

Navone is fresh off a Challenger title and will be highly motivated here, but Vacherot has been showing that he is deserving of the Top 30 ranking that his stunning run to the title in Shanghai earned him and on a hard court he should have the edge in this match. It could and should be close, but Vacherot is likely to prevail in the end with his bigger weapons on this surface.
Prediction: Vacherot in 3

Arthur Fils vs Darwin Blanch

Head-to-head: first meeting

Fils has been showing a very good level post-injury, with runs to the final in Dubai and the quarterfinals in Indian Wells, only losing to #1 Carlos Alcaraz and #4 Alexander Zverev, albeit in routine fashion. He will be looking to continue that positive momentum here in Miami and, at least on paper, he has a kind first round draw here.
Prediction: Fils in 2

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Alex de Minaur

Head-to-head: Tsitsipas 11-1 de Minaur

While de Minaur might be the far better player at the moment, the head-to-head tells a very clear story: this is a matchup he really doesn’t like and Tsitsipas loves. The Greek has dropped out of the Top 50, but if there is any Top 10 player he can beat to get some momentum back it is de Minaur for sure (he beat Daniil Medvedev in Rotterdam, but he was out of the Top 10 at the time).
Prediction: Tsitsipas in 3
