Some words of wisdom from a Prescott letter writer.

If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results, in this case at the polls, then we are indeed doomed.

We have an out of touch, smug and sneaky billionaire PM who somehow manages to circumnavigate the democratic electoral process by offering members of the opposition with no ethics, morals or a conscience a place with the same band of incompetents who were elected 11 years ago.

TIME FOR A CHANGE

Re: We’re all in trouble, letter to the editor, online, March 13

Hats off to the author of the above letter; I couldn’t agree more.

Our current Liberal government will never be able to get us out of trouble. They and their shameless predecessors have doled out billions of taxpayers’ dollars and granted immense governmental powers, without considering the consequences, to those who will always oppose the “One Canada” policy. Liberals are too far down that hole to ever get out of trouble.

ADDING FUEL TO THE FIRE

Although Donald Trump bears responsibility for the deteriorating relationship, Mark Carney’s defiant rhetoric and pivots intensify the rift, turning a manageable dispute into a geopolitical standoff.

Our relationship with the U.S.A. is facing irreversible harm, a fragmented economy and weakened alliances. Carney’s ego and political power must be stopped. He talks a good game, but takes no action.

The country is dividing and our trade partners are looking elsewhere. All Canadians will suffer if this continues much longer.

I believe few people in the real world would disagree with replacing safe-injection sites with more treatment centres. It sometimes seems that it’s more about saving jobs in the safe-injection industry than it is about saving addicts.
