With how wide open the NFL was last season, contending teams are making moves to put themselves in position to be the next Seattle Seahawks. One winning team in the Los Angeles Rams could be looking at taking Trojan receiver Makai Lemon to bring them closer to that.
In his most recent mock draft, analyst Daniel Jeremiah circles back on the Rams as a destination for Makai Lemon, as they are looking at making a move at receiver in some capacity. Here is what he had to say about the potential fit:
“According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the Rams were in on trade discussions for Eagles star A.J. Brown, which points to their desire to add at receiver. Lemon has the characteristics they covet in wideouts, with toughness, strong hands, and the ability to pick up yards after the catch.”
The Rams are clearly looking to upgrade their receiver room and are trying to make their offense even more explosive. There are rumors floating around that Davante Adams could be getting dealt soon. With the Rams addressing their biggest need at corner in free agency, Makai Lemon at pick 13 would be a home run selection. Puka Nacua and Makai Lemon could quickly become a top receiver duo in the NFL. For Makai Lemon, it doesn’t get any better than catching passes from Matthew Stafford and Sean Mcya coaching you up.
