Dylan Larkin was practicing at Detroit’s morning skate on Thursday, according to Max Bultman. Larkin wasn’t in the lineup and isn’t projected to return until next week, but getting confirmation there hasn’t been some sort of setback and that initial timeline is holding up is always nice.
Andrew Copp was back for Detroit, so there was some positive news on the injury front for the Red Wings. He even got on the scoresheet on Thursday night as Detroit peeled off three third-period goals for a comeback win over Montreal, taking the game by a 3-1 score. Alex DeBrincat had the big night with a goal and two assists, managing four shots, a block, and three hits. That makes back-to-back seasons with at least 70 points for DeBrincat, and he’s now two assists away from his second-ever 40-assist campaign (and his second in three years with Detroit).
John Gibson was great in net for Detroit, stopping 31 of 32 shots for his 26th win. He needs four more for his second career 30-win season.

Lukas Reichel was called up by the Boston Bruins for Thursday night’s game against Winnipeg. He started the game on the ‘third’ line with Elias Lindholm and Morgan Geekie.
I am still a believer in Reichel. Looking at the tracking data compiled by All Three Zones over the years has Reichel as someone who is great in transition and can frequently gain the offensive zone with control. That is no small feat, and makes me believe there is still something here. Players in their early 20s who are excellent at gaining the offensive zone with control rarely end up as true draft busts.
Sure enough, Reichel not only scored in his Bruins debut, it was the game-winning goal as Boston laid waste to Winnipeg 6-1. The Reichel goal was a fortunate bounce off the back boards that gave him a mostly-open net, but that he was in such a position is the first step to keeping his roster value. He skated 14:45 in the game, but it was also a blowout so I wouldn’t expect 14-15 minutes regularly (at least for now).
Pavel Zacha, David Pastrnak, and Viktor Arvidsson all had a goal and an assist in the win for Boston. That goal from Arvidsson gives him 41 points on the season, cresting the 40-point mark for the first time in three years, and it leaves him one goal shy of 20.
Jeremy Swayman was solid in net for the Bruins, stopping 22 of 23 shots for his 28th win. He had already set a career-high in wins last week so he’s just adding to that total now.

Noah Laba did not play on Thursday night after being injured on Wednesday night:
#NYR Noah Laba and Urho Vaakanainen, both injured in last night’s game vs. #NJDevils, did not make the trip to Columbus. They are still being evaluated at home, per Mike Sullivan.
Igor Shesterkin in goal tonight vs. #CBJ.

He probably wouldn’t have made much of a difference for the Rangers as Columbus doubled up on them by a 6-3 score. The Blue Jackets scored two goals in the first period, two in the second, and two in the third in some nice symmetry.
Adam Fantilli scored twice for the Jackets, totaling nine shots, two PIMs, and a hit. Those goals push Fantilli past the 20-goal and 50-point mark, giving up a 20-goal, 30-assist season one year after having a 30-goal, 20-assist season. Again, a nice bit of mirrored symmetry.
Zach Werenski had a monster game for the Blue Jackets with three assists and five shots, pushing Werenski past the 50-assist and 70-point marks for the second season in a row. He needs eight more assists in the next 15 games for his first-ever 60-assist campaign.
Jet Greaves was in net for the Blue Jackets and stopped 22 of 25 shots for the win. He has yet to lose in regulation with Rick Bowness as the coach, going 10-0-2 in his last 12 starts.
Both Mika Zibanejad and Alexis Lafreniere managed a goal and assist apiece in the loss. Zibanejad has 36 points in 27 games in calendar 2026.

Igor Chernyshov and Yaroslav Askarov were on the ice before morning skate for San Jose:
Sounds like Igor Chernyshov and Yaroslav Askarov were on the ice earlier this morning. Unlikely to play tonight, I’m guessing. #SJSharks
— Curtis Pashelka (@CurtisPashelka) March 19, 2026
Both are currently injured and neither seems on the cusp of returning, but things can change fast and it’s always a good sign to see players get back on the ice in any respect as they’re recovering from injury.

Brady Tkachuk scored with 13 seconds left in the third period of Ottawa’s home game against the New York Islanders to lift the Senators to a 3-2 win. Getting a regulation win at this time of year against another team that is also fighting for a playoff spot is an important result for Ottawa, and nearly all their games are must-win games from here on out.
Tkachuk finished with six shots, five PIMs, and three hits in an excellent multi-cat night.
Warren Foegele also scored for Ottawa, his third goal in seven games with the Sens after scoring just seven goals in 47 games with Los Angeles to start the season. Foegele also has eight hits in the seven games with an Ottawa uniform.
Matthew Schaefer scored in the loss for the Islanders, his 21st goal and his 50th point of the season.

Kirill Kaprizov was a last-minute scratch for the Minnesota Wild with a lower-body injury on Thursday night. There is no further timeline other than day-to-day right now, so that is something fantasy managers need to keep an eye on.
The Wild lost that game at home to Chicago by a 2-1 margin. Connor Bedard scored the game-winning goal, landed six shots, and added both a block and a hit in the win. He has 5 goals, 7 assists, 41 shots, and 12 hits since returning from the Olympics.
Chicago moved Artyom Levshunov back to the top PP unit over Sam Rinzel, so fantasy managers needing a PP boost might want to check their waiver wires.
Spencer Knight stopped 28 of 29 shots for his 18th win. He needs two more to set a career-high as he’s been great in net for the Blackhawks this year.

Filip Forsberg managed a goal and two assists in Nashville’s 3-1 win over Seattle on Thursday. That goal pushes Forsberg to 30 tallies on the season, and he sits two assists shy of reaching 30 in that regard. If he gets those two assists, it would give him his third straight season with at least 30 goals, 30 assists, 210 shots, and 100 hits.
Ryan Ufko scored again for Nashville. He has two goals and five points in seven games with the Preds since being recalled earlier this month.
Justus Annunen stopped allowed just one goal on 26 shots.

Florida went into Edmonton and shut out the Oilers 4-0. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 21 shots he faced for the shutout, his fourth of the season. Bob has largely been very good in March, posting a save percentage over .900 in four of his five starts, the fifth being that inexplicable blow-up in Vancouver.
Carter Verhaeghe scored once on four shots, and that goal gives him 20 on the season, his fourth straight season with at least 20 goals.
Seth Jones was moved back to the top PP unit over Aaron Ekblad and the Panthers went 1-for-2 with the man advantage.

Tampa Bay’s top stars had another big night in their 6-2 win over Vancouver. Both Anthony Cirelli and Nikita Kucherov posted a goal and two assists each while Brandon Hagel and Darren Raddysh each managed a goal and assist apiece. Those two points from Raddysh push him to the 60-point mark, making him the seventh defenceman to reach that mark this season. He has been the best fantasy draft value in what has been a tremendous season.
Andrei Vasilevskiy held the Canucks to two goals on 21 shots in the victory. He is up to 32 wins on the season, which leads the league, and needs three more wins for his second straight season with at least 35.
Victor Hedman had an illness that caused him to leave the game early and not return.

Utah went into Vegas and shut out the Golden Knights by a 4-0 score. Clayton Keller scored twice while Barrett Hayton managed a goal and an assist. Since February 1st, Keller has 6 goals, 11 assists, and 49 shots in 14 games.
Karel Vejmelka blocked all 28 shots directed his way for his second shutout and 31st win of the season. Vejmelka now has a .906 save percentage over his last 27 appearances compared to an .891 save percentage across his first 26 appearances of the season.
Adin Hill was pulled after giving up three goals on three shots.

Alex Lyon registered his third shutout of the season in Buffalo’s 5-0 win over San Jose. That sets a career-high for him, and with 20 wins, he needs two more to set a career-high in that regard.
Sam Carrick scored twice in the win for the Sabres. Since being traded to Buffalo, he has four goals in seven games, but he’s also done that on just 10 shots. I don’t think he’s going to keep shooting 40%, but I’m willing to hear arguments to the contrary.
Rasmus Dahlin managed a goal and an assist in his 16th multi-point game of the campaign. He had 19 such games last season so he should get close to that mark again.
Tyler Toffoli was injured late in the first period and did not return. Will Smith was moved back to the top line where Toffoli had started the game and William Eklund joined the top PP unit in Toffoli’s place.

Noah Cates scored a goal and assist on a Travis Sanheim tally as the Philadelphia Flyers managed a 4-3 shootout win in Los Angeles. That gives Cates 37 points on the season in 68 games played, the same number of points he had last year in 78 games. He needs two more points to surpass his career-high 38 from 2022-23.
Matvei Michkov managed a pair of assists and that gave him 20 helpers on the year. He has 16 goals, and that gives him a chance for a 20-20 season while skating around (or under) 15 minutes a game. It has been a down year for Michkov, but if he can manage a 20-20 campaign in a bad season skating 15 minutes a game, imagine what his upside is in a good season skating 18 minutes a game.
Artemi Panarin posted a goal and an assist in the loss and now has 15 points in 12 games with the Kings. His goal was scored on the power play, and the Kings are now 7-for-27 on the power play since the Olympic break. That is a 25.9% conversion rate, tied for 7th in the league.
