Ontario Provincial Police in Wellington County have charged a Brampton man following a single-vehicle accident.
On March 19, around 3 p.m., police received a call for a single-vehicle collision on Wellington Road 34 in Puslinch Township.
The driver was treated for minor, non-life-threatening injuries at the scene by paramedics.
As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old of Brampton is charged under the Cannabis Control Act and the Highway Traffic Act with:
Careless driving
Driving a vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
Class G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by a qualified driver
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court – Guelph at a later date.
His name has not been released.
