ARLINGTON, Texas – The remainder of the UT Arlington men’s tennis season for 2025-26 has been canceled, the UTA Division of Athletics announced Friday. The decision comes as a result of injury issues that have plagued the men’s tennis program throughout the spring.

“We are deeply disappointed to have to cancel the remainder of our men’s tennis season,” said Jon Fagg, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. “This was an incredibly difficult decision, made only after meeting with our student-athletes, coaches and staff to fully evaluate the situation.”

“With the ongoing injury challenges and limited roster availability, we ultimately felt this was in the best interest of our student-athletes’ health, safety, and overall well-being. Our priority now is to continue supporting our student-athletes through this transition.”

The Mavericks had four dual matches and the 2026 Atlantic Sun Men’s Tennis Championships remaining but will no longer participate. UTA will return to the courts for the 2026–27 season.
