A 20-year-old Edmonton man is facing multiple charges after Airdrie RCMP say a woman reported being assaulted by a suspect armed with a knife and a firearm inside a southwest Airdrie home.
Police say officers responded to a 911 call on March 6 at about 9:30 p.m.
RCMP say the suspect fled the residence on foot and was believed to be heading toward 24 Street.

RCMP say a search incidental to arrest resulted in the seizure of a large machete, a loaded handgun and a large quantity of cannabis.
Kellen Stone, 20, of Edmonton, is charged with sexual assault, pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon (machete), eight additional weapons-related offences and four charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Police say the victim was not physically injured and that the victim and the accused were known to each other.
Stone was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Airdrie on March 26 at 9:30 a.m.
