PROVIDENCE, R.I. (March 21, 2026) – The Stonehill College men’s tennis team returned to action after an 11-day hiatus on Saturday night, dropping a 6-1 decision on the road to non-conference opponent Brown University. With the result, the Skyhawks move to 3-9 overall, while the Bears improve to 15-6 on the season.
Stonehill was unable to secure the doubles point, falling in all three matchups. The duo of junior Jacob Borch-Nielsen and sophomore Nicolas Arredondo delivered the strongest showing at No. 2 doubles, battling closely before ultimately falling 6-4 to Brown’s Ivan Sodan and Lukas Phimvongsa.
In singles play, Brown claimed five of the six matches to seal the victory. Freshman Benjamin Beaudry moved up to the No. 3 position for the third time in his collegiate career and put together a strong effort, taking his match to three sets before falling to Noah Hernandez, 3-6, 6-3, 1-6.
Junior Alessandro Munoz accounted for the lone point for the Skyhawks at No. 5 singles, earning a victory over Alex Koong, 7-6, 6-2.
