Deportations make headlines, but they don’t stop extortion.
The people being removed are not the ones running these operations. The real problem is the individuals recruiting and directing them behind the scenes.
Until police focus on identifying and dismantling those organizers, this will continue. Remove one person, and another will take their place. Go after the people in charge, or expect the cycle to repeat.
