WORCESTER, Mass. – Bentley women’s tennis kicked off its spring season on Saturday but the Falcons were beaten by NE10 foe Assumption 7-0.
The Greyhounds, who improved to 9-5 overall and 6-2 in NE10 matches, swept the doubles to take an early lead.
In singles play, Natalia Ponsa went to three sets against Assumption’s Laurence Bosmans in the No. 2 match, but Bosmans won the third set tiebreak 7-4 to take the match.
Bentley is next scheduled to play on Saturday at Saint Michael’s.
