Edmonton Fire Rescue Services says one person is in hospital following a residential fire on Monday evening in the Belvedere neighbourhood.
EFRS responded to a home near 64 Street and 135A Avenue around 6:04 p.m., after receiving a report that a home was on fire.
When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the home and began battling the fire before it was declared out at 10:16 p.m.
EFRS notes the residents had already self-evacuated prior to their arrival, and says that one person was reportedly taken to hospital by paramedics.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
