Apple iPhone users have eight new emojis to blast at their friends, and new features in Apple Music to enjoy.

Those new emojis and other features are in iOS and iPadOS 26.4 updates, now available to device users.

In its official release notes for the software updates, Apple lists 13 enhancements, including new Playlist Playground and Concerts features in Apple Music, eight new emojis, and several other improvements, such as improved keyboard accuracy for fast typists, and the always-needed iPhone bug fixes and security updates.

iPhone software beta testers were able to download iOS 26.4 on March 21, according to 9to5Mac, a few days before all users got the update.

What new emojis are in Apple iOS 26.4?

The new emojis coming to Apple products in the iOS and iPadOS 26.4 update include:

Distorted face (bulging eyes)

Ballet dancer (available in various skin tones)

Treasure chest (Filled with gold, pearls, jewels, and a crown)

A hairy creature (Sasquatch, right?)

An orca (or killer whale)

Landslide (small rocks tumbling beside a larger rock)

Fight cloud (as seen in cartoons)

Other iOS 26.4 features

Additional new features for iPhone and iPad users in the new iOS and iPadOS 26.4 software updates include:

Apple Music: The music program gets vied updates, including the Playlist Playground feature, which will generate “a playlist from your description, complete with a title, description, and tracklist,” according to the release notes. The Concerts feature will alert you to nearby shows from artists in your library and recommend new artists. A new Offline Music Recognition in Control Center allows a user to Shazam a song when they don’t have an internet connection and gives results when they return online. There’s also an immersive album and playlist backgrounds and an ambient music widget that brings curated playlists to your Home screen, according to the release notes.

Display: Updates in the Accessibility settings let you reduce bright effects caused by tapping on elements like buttons, and reduce motion, such as animations, when interacting with the translucent Liquid Glass display. Another Accessibility update includes improved subtitle and caption settings.

Purchase sharing: Adults in Family Sharing groups can “use their own payment method when making purchases, without relying on the family organizer,” according to the update notes.

Reminders: You can “mark reminders as urgent from the Quick Toolbar or by touching and holding, and filter for urgent reminders in your Smart Lists,” the update note added.

Freeform: The creativity app gets “advanced image creation and editing tools, and a premium content library, joining Apple Creator Studio,” the update note said.
