Coroner, WorkSafeBC investigating death at Vancouver Island construction site

The BC Coroners Service confirmed they are investigating a death that occurred at a construction site on Ash Road in Saanich on Monday, March 23.
According to WorkSafeBC, they were notified of a “serious workplace incident” in the 1700-block of Ash Road at around 12:30 p.m., and they are still investigating the incident.
“The purpose of our investigation is to identify and understand the occupational health and safety factors that contributed to the incident, so that similar incidents can be prevented in the future,” noted an emailed statement from WorkSafeBC.
Social media footage shows a large response from the fire department and police at what seems to be a small construction site in front of a home.
