Update: The ramp is expected to open at approximately 4 or 5 p.m.
A 32-year-old male driver from Brampton has been charged with careless driving.
Original story follows.
A Highway 403 ramp has closed after a tractor-trailer crashed in Hamilton on Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the single-vehicle collision on the ramp from westbound Highway 403 to Highway 6 southbound in Ancaster, the Ontario Provincial Police said just before 8 a.m.
The tractor-trailer landed on its side on the ramp, police said. The driver was being assessed for minor injuries.

The truck was transporting bales of recycled material, police said. Part of the cleanup will involve retrieving some of the bales that were ejected and rolled a significant distance off the roadway, the OPP added.

Police said the ramp will be closed for an estimated two to three hours for cleanup.
