The use of artificial intelligence continues to evolve, and a local tech blogger says newer systems are becoming more proactive, instead of reactive.
Kevin Andrews says previously, users had to ask AI a question. Now it is starting to anticipate what people need.
As an example, he says it can look at patterns in someone’s day – including their calendar and emails, and start to organize a person’s schedule, including reminding them about a meeting they should attend or tasks they may have forgotten.
Andrews says privacy becomes a concern as people give AI more access.
He says for AI to truly be helpful it needs to have access to a lot of a person’s data.
“That’s where I think people need to pause and think about it a bit,” says Andrews, adding that there are concerns around how and where that data is stored, and who, or what, has access to it.
