Peel police are searching for the driver of a vehicle in a hit-and-run in Mississauga that left one pedestrian seriously injured.
The collision occurred near Derry Road and Hurontario Street at around 6 a.m. on Thursday.
Police say two vehicles collided in the area and a pedestrian was struck.
One vehicle fled the scene and it has been described as a white sedan with heavy damage to its right front corner.
Police say a female pedestrian suffered serious injuries and has been rushed to a trauma centre for treatement.
One southbound lane on Hurontario Street is closed for the police investigation.
