A vehicle fled the scene of a crash in Mississauga Thursday morning that left a pedestrian injured, police say.
Peel Regional Police said it happened in the Hurontario Street and Derry Road area.
Officers responded to the scene at 6:05 a.m.
Police said there was a two-vehicle collision and a pedestrian was struck.
One of the two vehicles fled the scene, police said.
It was described as a white sedan that has heavy damage to the front right corner.
The pedestrian — a female — was taken to a local trauma centre with serious injuries.
Police are advising people to avoid the area.
One southbound lane is closed on Hurontario.
