A Netflix has used Brampton as the backdrop for two series.

Hollywood North?

Maybe, as Brampton serves as the backdrop for two shows currently streaming on Netflix.

In Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen, an atmospheric horror series following a bride and groom in the week leading up to their ill-fated nuptials, fans may recognize the outskirts of the Claireville Conservation Area.

The area is a natural park along the West Humber River in Brampton, where the series leads Rachel and Nicky take a break on their way to the wedding weekend.

Another program, Finding Her Edge, is a hit romance series about a retired figure skater desperately trying to keep her family’s picturesque Ontario ice rink — and Olympic legacy — afloat.

This series features several rinks, including the CAA Centre in Brampton, a venue where the show leads compete at the World Championships.

According to Netflix, these locations and others featured on the Netflix in Your Neighbourhood and Netflix chez vous map pages, which help fans identify specific Canadian filming locations so they may step inside their favourite Netflix stories, explore popular landmarks and discover hidden gems in their own backyard.
