Fauver, Smith Named BIG EAST Golfers of the Week

NEW YORK – Sam Fauver and Kyle Smith were named BIG EAST Golfers of the Week on Thursday. The two golfers shared the honors with Matt Zerfass (Villanova).

Four different Musketeers have earned BIG EAST Golfer of the Week honors this season.

Fauver and Smith earned medalist honors at the Keene Trace Collegiate on March 24. The two golfers shared the honors with Charles Cauthen (Kentucky) as all three golfers posted 36-hole scores of 144 (E).

Fauver posted his first career victory at Xavier and his first career top-10 finish. Smith now has five career top-10 finishes with one, first-place finish.

Xavier returns to action on March 30-31 at the Seahawk Intercollegiate in Wilmington, N.C.
