Break away from traditional photography with next Delta Photo Club workshop
Published 6:00 pm Thursday, March 26, 2026
Delta Photo Club invites members and guests to a special online presentation with award-winning digital artist and educator Sandra Dann about “Conceptual Storytelling through Photography.”
In this April 1 workshop, Dann will teach attendees how to use symbols, colour and visual cues to communicate a deeper message or emotion in an image. She will share ideas on where to find inspiration and how to break away from traditional photography — often using attendees’ own photos to build composite imagery.
Dann is an Australia-based digital artist and educator specializing in creative image-making, colour and visual storytelling, who encourages other creatives to “explore whether they want their work to reflect reality or step into something more imaginative,” according to an event press release.
With a background as an award-winning photographer, Dann now teaches internationally Photoshop and AI-assisted creative workflows. She is an Adobe Community Expert and has presented for organizations including the Royal Photographic Society, Camversation (UK) and the Photographic Society of America.
The event takes place on Wednesday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. To attend, interested parties can either become a member of the Delta Photo Club by filling out the membership form at deltaphotoclub.com/member-sign-up-form (cost is $60/year for individuals, $110 for families and $35 for youth and students), or register to attend as a guest by sending an e-transfer of $10 to treasurer_membership@deltaphotoclub.com by noon on April 1 (please include your name, email address and club affiliation with your transfer).
