Monday, March 30, is opening day of a new all-suite hotel in Surrey’s Health & Technology District, just north of Surrey Memorial Hospital.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Surrey is advertised as an extended-stay hotel with home-like accommodations for professionals, patients’ families and visitors, for both short visits and longer stays.
ICT Group and Lark Group built the 189-suite property, operated by Aquilini Group in the top nine floors of City Centre 4 tower, 137 Street at 96 Avenue.
The hotel features studio and one-bedroom suites with kitchens, a 6,000-square-foot rooftop space with BBQ areas and fire pits, complimentary hot breakfast, fitness centre, EV charging and pet-friendly accommodations.
Guest reservations are done on hilton.com, where a room on March 30 can be booked for $253; some suites are sold-out.
The City Centre 4 tower is also home to a ground-floor Stong’s Market and Western Community College. Due open later in 2026 is Maharaja restaurant, for Indian cuisine.
The opening of Homewood Suites by Hilton reflects “the continued growth and momentum of Surrey as a centre for healthcare, education and innovation,” according to Kirk Fisher, CEO of Lark Group.
“This hotel adds an important hospitality component that supports the professionals, organizations, and visitors contributing to the region’s dynamic economy,” Fisher said in a news release posted on healthandtechnologydistrict.com.
Adds Walther Lauffer, a vice-president with Aquilini Properties LP: “Expanding our hospitality portfolio in Surrey is an exciting step for Aquilini Hospitality as we continue to grow across Canada.”
