Sebastian Fundora has no qualms with Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather 2, but he does have some questions. Fundora is in action later this week as ‘The Towering Inferno’ defends his WBC super welterweight world title against former multi-time welterweight world champ, Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman on March 28th.

There is also a bit of a tie-in component as well, considering Fundora was fighting on a card with Manny Pacquiao last year. Pacquiao fought to a draw in a WBC welterweight title clash against then-champion Mario Barrios while Fundor authored a statement win in a rematch with Tim Tszyu on the July 2025 event.

When the reigning and defending WBC titleholder was asked for his thoughts on the May Pac Netflix rematch set to transpire this Fall, Fundora said [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“It’s pretty cool. It’s pretty cool. I don’t have no mixed feelings about it. You know, the two legends, two legends getting back in the ring to fight each other. They gained the big platform that they deserve. I remember watching Mayweather fight his last little exhibition in Mexico City and he looked pretty sharp. I mean, I fought on the last card Pacquiao fought and he looked pretty good, too.”

Sebastian Fundora on Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather 2: “will we see something different?”

Speaking further on this looming sequel clash with Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather set to go down in the Autumn in Nevada, Fundora continued [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“So, it’s going to be exciting. I want to see what they bring out. Will we see the authentic Mayweather versus Pacquiao type of attitudes or will we see something different? Cuz they are a little bit older now. But, you know, again, I’m still excited because those two guys are legends in this sport.”
