Washington is keeping the architect of a recent national championship on Montlake for the foreseeable future.
The Huskies announced on Thursday that they have signed men’s soccer coach Jamie Clark to a contract extension that runs through the 2032 season. Clark has been at the helm of the program since 2011, guiding Washington to 12 national tournament appearances, a national runner-up finish in 2021, and the program’s first national title this past season.
That title came in historic fashion: Washington became the first team ever to win the title with 6 consecutive victories on the road, beating Oregon State, SMU, Stanford, Maryland, Furman, and North Carolina State during their unprecedented run.

“We’re incredibly fortunate to have the very best head coach in men’s college soccer and one of the great head coaches across all of collegiate athletics,” athletic director Pat Chun said of Clark. “Coach Clark has established a championship-caliber program at Washington, defined by excellence in every facet. This past season, he led our team to a national championship—an achievement that speaks to his vision, leadership, and competitive drive. Under his guidance, the program continues to excel both on the field and in the classroom. We look forward to his continued leadership and are excited for what’s ahead with Coach Clark leading UW men’s soccer.”
Clark has also produced 35 MLS SuperDraft or homegrown signings, including 5 Huskies in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft. That group was led by No. 5 overall pick Richie Aman, who is heading to DC United. He has coached 14 All-Americans and 95 all-conference selections.
The men’s soccer team has an abbreviated spring season against mostly local teams that continues Saturday and runs through April 25.
