It’s the fight Aussie boxing fans have been waiting for – and it’s now closer than ever.
American boxing star Errol Spence Jr has reportedly agreed to terms with Australia’s Tim Tszyu for a $15 million blockbuster showdown.
After much speculation and whispers, sources close to negotiations have revealed that the mega fight is effectively a done deal, reports Code Sports.

The boxers are understood to have reached an agreement in recent days, following lengthy talks.
However, one crucial part of the contract is that Tszyu must first get past Albanian champion Denis Nurja in next week’s clash at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre.
Should Tszyu fall short, the big-money blockbuster showdown with ‘The Truth’ will not take place.
The Spence-Tszyu showdown is being targeted for July or August, with the AT&T Stadium in Texas being discussed as a leading venue option.

That said, the American is reportedly open to travelling Down Under – for the right price.
Spence hasn’t fought since he was beaten by Terence Crawford in 2023 where he was dropped three times and stopped in their showdown for the undisputed crown.
In the aftermath of that defeat, many doubted if he would ever return at all given his struggles with injuries and two shocking car accidents away from the ring.
Meanwhile, Tszyu has also weathered a bumpy stretch over the past few years, losing three of four after beginning his professional career 24-0.
After falling short in his rematch with Sebastian Fundora last July, Tszyu reset and returned to the winner’s circle in December with a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Velazquez.
Asked about a potential Spence showdown, Tszyu told Fox Sports Australia last month: “Oh, of course I’d be keen. Are you serious?
“That one, if it is to happen, would be a megafight for Australia.
“One of the biggest ever for an Aussie, and up there alongside Jeff Horn versus Manny Pacquiao.
“It’s an intriguing match up too.
“And with huge stakes and plenty of questions on both sides.
“Do I still have it? Does Spence still have it?
“But I’ll leave all that to my team.”
Nurja, however, has promised to spoil the party for Tszyu on Easter Sunday.
“In boxing people like to talk about what comes next,” Nurja said.
“And I understand this because Tim Tszyu has achieved important things. He’s a former world champion.

“But first, there is our fight. And plans can change very quickly in one night.”
Quizzed on the greatest test of his undefeated career, Nurja continued: “This is the type of moment I have been working towards since I was a young boy.

“I respect Tszyu and what he’s done.
“But I’m coming to show the world who I am.
“When I step into the ring, people will see my level.”
