A 30-year-old woman was scheduled to appear Sunday in court in connection with an altercation in a Montreal North residence in which a 56-year-old man was injured.
Montreal police were called to the residence on Chartrand St., near Léger Blvd., at about 9 p.m. According to police, the victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to the upper body, possibly caused by a sharp object.
Police said both the man and the woman, who are a couple, were initially arrested. The man was released shortly thereafter and the woman was met Sunday by investigators, said Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.
She was scheduled to appear later Sunday in court, he said; it was expected that a charge of armed assault would be laid.
