Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Chris Streveler officially announced his retirement on Sunday.

The 31-year-old American played four seasons in the CFL with the Bombers, helping them win a Grey Cup in 2019.

Streveler threw for 1,103 yards with six touchdowns and 11 interceptions over 18 games in 2025, adding an additional nine rushing touchdowns.

Over 66 career games in the CFL, all with Winnipeg, Streveler threw for 4,144 yards with 26 touchdowns and 31 interceptions. A goal-line specialist, Streveler produced an impressive 41 rushing touchdowns in his CFL career.

Following a collegiate career with Minnesota and the University of South Dakota, Streveler made his first stint with the Blue Bombers in 2018 and 2019 before making an attempt at the NFL.

Streveler spent time with multiple franchises over the next few seasons, including making seven appearances with the Arizona Cardinals and two appearances with the New York Jets.

Streveler rejoined the Bombers for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, serving as a backup behind quarterback Zach Collaros.
