Five Guys to open first Vancouver Island location in Greater Victoria

Burger fans in Greater Victoria won’t have to travel far for Five Guys much longer, as the chain prepares to open its first Vancouver Island location in Colwood.
News of the opening spread quickly on social media after a site plan for Royal Bay’s Arbutus Landing commercial development showed the U.S.-based chain as one of its future tenants.
Over the weekend of March 28-29, many shared their excitement online, including Colwood Coun. Ian Ward.
“Perhaps the worst kept secret, but finally we can say it’s confirmed that Royal Bay in the City of Colwood will be home to Vancouver Island’s first Five Guys location,” he said in a Facebook post.
The restaurant will be one of 73 Five Guys locations in Canada and more than 1,700 worldwide, across 29 countries.
Arbutus Landing is scheduled for completion this summer.
