Las Vegas residencies run on a specific logic: proven draw, premium ticket prices, the same room filled across multiple nights. The roster at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace — Celine Dion, Elton John, Adele, Usher — reflects that math precisely. On Monday, Lisa became the newest name on it, and the first from K-pop.

The BLACKPINK rapper (born Lalisa Manoban) announced Viva La Lisa, her first Las Vegas residency, at the Colosseum across two weekends in November: the 13th and 14th, and the 27th and 28th. The announcement, broken exclusively by Variety, makes her the first K-pop artist to perform a Strip residency.

A solo career built on firsts

Lisa’s path to the Colosseum has been methodical. When she released debut solo single album Lalisa in September 2021, the music video logged 73.6 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours, becoming the most-viewed debut by any solo artist on the platform, surpassing a record held by Ariana Grande. The physical release moved over 736,000 copies in its first week, setting a record for first-week sales by a female soloist in South Korea.

The album’s B-side, “Money,” proved more durable than its release cycle. Confirmed by Guinness World Records, it became the first K-pop track by a solo artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify. Lisa also took solo K-pop firsts at both the MTV Video Music Awards and the MTV Europe Music Awards. She currently holds 107 million Instagram followers, the highest of any K-pop artist on the platform.

In late 2023, Lisa departed YG Entertainment for her solo work while maintaining her BLACKPINK commitments under the label. She established her own management company, Lloud, and signed with RCA Records. The debut studio album Alter Ego, released February 28, 2025, opened at number seven on the US Billboard 200 and number one on the Top Album Sales chart. All five singles landed in the top 25 of the Billboard Global 200; three entered the US Hot 100.

In March 2025, she performed at the 97th Academy Awards, the first K-pop artist to do so. She followed that with a solo Coachella set in April — her third appearance at the festival, and her first as a headliner in her own right. She also made her acting debut in The White Lotus Season 3, and is set to follow that with a Netflix romantic comedy produced by the show’s executive producer David Bernad, written by Katie Silberman.

The announcement arrives during an active period for both Lisa and BLACKPINK. The group recently wrapped the six-month Deadline World Tour, which included 15 stadium shows across North America, Asia, and Europe. Their EP Deadline posted 1.4 million copies in its first hours on the Hanteo Chart, the highest first-day total ever recorded by a girl group.

The Colosseum’s most storied runs have stretched across months, not weekends, so whether four shows constitutes a full test of the residency format remains to be seen. As a first entry into that market for a K-pop act, however, the booking is not insignificant.

Presale registration for Lisa’s Las Vegas residency opens April 1 at 10 a.m. PT through April 19, with the artist presale on April 22 and general on-sale beginning April 23.
