A 96-year-old woman has serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, following a collision in downtown Toronto’s Regent Park neighbourhood on Monday afternoon, police say.

The crash happened around 4:10 p.m. near Dundas Street East and Sackville Street.

Toronto police say the senior was struck by a vehicle and was rushed to the hospital.

Officers add that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
